€ Free to Artists (Donation to Arts Centre welcome)
This course offers artists an opportunity to learn the basic skills needed to photograph and process works of art and exhibition installations. These skills are vital for artists for submitting good-quality images to catalogues, websites and funding proposals. The participants will learn the basics of a digital SLR Camera, and how to use it for photographing 2D and 3D work, including challenging pieces such as jewellery and reflective surfaces. The students will each bring a piece of artwork to photograph and the session will end with a demonstration of digital post-processing software. The course is free to artists and enrollment will be on a first-come basis. Donations to the Centre are welcome.
Michael Holly has over 10 years experience as a photographer for individual artists, museums and art galleries.
