Michael O’Boyle, “Microscape”

May 13th- 25th, 2016. Opening Reception Friday the 13th of May at 7pm. All Welcome

Cork-based artist Michael O’Boyle will be exhibiting a series of new paintings at Clonakilty Community Arts Centre from the 13th to the 25th of May. Michael uses images made from microscopes as the basis of his approach, eventually producing large, colourful, pattern-based oil paintings. The work playfully uses visual language of popular science to bring the microscopic into full view, in what he calls ‘portraits of the invisible’. Two fascinating artists with an eye for the tiny, but producing vastly different works. Michael O’Boyle, Microscape opens at Clonakilty Community Arts Centre on Friday the 13th of May at 7pm. All are welcome.
